Turkey meatballs are on top!
Turkey Meatballs an All-Around Success!

Now we’re talking turkey! Considered a healthier alternative to the traditional pork or beef meatball, the popularity of turkey meatballs as a great-tasting, lower-fat protein option is rapidly increasing. Research indicates they have been carving out a new niche in retail stores: Today turkey meatballs account for approximately 14 percent of the overall frozen meatball category.

When Rich’s realized two key customers weren’t carrying turkey meatballs under any brand, associates grabbed their attention with both the retail data and a product solution to take advantage of this burgeoning opportunity. A team from Rich’s Research & Development and Consumer Brands divisions developed new turkey meatballs that passed quality and taste tests with flying colors. And, the products are now sold in more than 2,000 of these customer stores nationwide!
Rich’s new turkey meatballs are produced by associates in Rich’s Vineland, N.J., plant, which also produces high-quality beef and pork products.
